Britain Wants Change
It is the end of New Labour. After ten years, the Government has run out of new ideas, run out of steam and is now a divided, wrangling Party. Desperation runs deep. And from that desperation springs desperate measures. Gordon Brown had brought back a man he hates, Peter Mandelson. This is the man that has been sacked not once but twice from Government. Labour MPs are being cajoled into falling into line. Many of them are angry about the direction their Party is taking.
Gordon Brown is a weak leader and has reshuffled his cabinet to try to stop the rot. The chief whip has changed to ensure that the MPs are made to tow the Party line.

The country is in an economic mess. |
Britain faces huge social breakdown and there is huge inequality. The social divide is getting wider. |
Fewer people are in work or fulltime education than ten years ago. Youth unemployment is up. There are almost 5million out of work and on benefits |
We have one of the highest rates of family breakdown in Europe. |
Twice as many people face fuel poverty than when Labour came to power. |
There are 600,000 more people in severe poverty than when Labour came to power. |
Crime is increasing. Violent Crime has doubled. |
School standards are falling, there are soaring drop out rates from University. 40% of 11 year old cant write read or add up. |
Businesses are being throttled by excessive Government regulation. There have been 50 new regulations for small businesses since 1998 costing £39billion. |
There has been record spending on the NHS but the obsession with targets and countless reorganisations has meant that the NHS is less efficient than it was. There are more managers than hospital beds. Twice as many people die of hospital acquired infections than on Britain’s roads. |
ID cards are an expensive distraction. They will cost the country £20 billion but they will not reduce terrorism, illegal immigration, identity fraud or human trafficking. |
Pensioners are worse off since Gordon Brown scrapped the tax relief on pensions wiping £100billion off the value of people’s pensions. |
The Government says the basic rate of tax has remained unchanged and yet there have been over 100 stealth tax rises in the last ten years including council tax, inheritance tax, stamp duty, national insurance and tax on savings and pensions. |
People have had enough and want change
The Conservative Party is ready for Government. We have modernised and changed. We believe that society as well as individuals should prosper. We want freedom from state intervention; we want to empower people, to make families stronger and society more responsible. We want to make Britain greener and safer. We believe in making Britain a stronger, wealthier nation.
We want the General Election now. People want a change and Gordon Brown should have the courage to hear what they are saying and feel how they vote.
